Discover Guadeloupe
Let’s discover the island of beautiful waters
Guadeloupe, it is two principals’ islands, Grande Terre and Basse Terre which are separated by a little piece of sea called Rivière Salée. Three islands are administratively attached namely les Saintes, Désirade et Marie Galante. It was Christopher Colombus who called it this way in memory of virgin protectress of navigators « Santa-Maria de Guadelupe ». The archipelago is located between Dominica in the South and Montserrat islands and Antigua in the North with 61° west longitude and 16° north latitude, between tropic of Cancer and the Equator. From the sky the island looks like a butterfly.
